Customer Service Representative (98747)

Bonney Staffing - Nobleboro, ME

The Customer Service Representative position, in Nobleboro, is responsible for Responsible for answering incoming customer calls in a prompt and professional manner. Provide information to customers regarding any aspect of their telephone service or bills. Handle Tier 1 helpdesk calls that deal with trouble shooting of Cable service - adding services and provisioning cable boxes. Answer internet service calls dealing with email, connectivity and power cycling their routers and modems. Prepare Service Orders for installs, disconnects, number changes, additional listings, additional lines, adding/deleting calling plans for AT&T and Tidewater/Lincolnville customers for Telephone, Internet and Cable service. correspondence for the Business Office including, but not limited to, PIC changes, toll plan changes, address changes, name changes, billing questions, and lifeline additions. Counter assistance dealing with customer inquiries regarding their bill and assisting with any new or additional services. Help customers set up Telephone, Internet and Cable service. Handle directory changes and insure accuracy. Enter codes and charges for OCC's from trouble tickets. Enter codes and credits for adjustments to customer bills. Key telephone, internet and cable payments to customer's accounts. Process credit card payments. Perform collection activities, such as sending out disconnect notices, calling customers with unpaid balances, and making payment arrangements. Research bill breakdowns for customers with billing problems. Answer listing questions for telephone companies and research listings for customers who question numbers showing in their bills. Handle all duties related to Cable Television – installs, changes, deletes. Specific duties as assigned including, but not limited to, keying directory information to Fairpoint, billing completion, monthly billing, and Conference Bridge. Perform special assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in customer service representative position.
  • One year of experience in a customer service representative position for an internet company preferred.
  • Type at least 40 WPM
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook required, Excel preferred
  • Able to maintain total confidentiality

Hours:

  • Full time, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, M - F

Benefits:

  • Starting pay of $14.00-$17.00 hourly, commensurate with experience
