Bonney Staffing - Auburn, ME

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator position in Auburn is responsible for the set up, operation and general maintenance of the production machines, including drilling machines, lathes and other equipment as directed.This is a full time, second shift temp to hire position. This position is from 2:15pm-12:45am, 4 ten-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. They will start out on 1st shift and then transition to 2nd shift after training. If you are an experienced machine operator, with great attention to detail this may be the job for you!

There is also a first shift temp to hire Quality Assurance position available. This position is Monday through Friday from 6:00am-2:30pm. They will be using a drill like tool to buff the inside of pre-drilled tubes to make sure it is smoothed.

What We Need From You:

  • High School Graduate
  • Good mathmetical skills
  • Certificate or Degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred but not required
  • 1-5 years of Manufacturing experience
  • Blueprint reading
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to run the machine(s) safely and within quality and productivity guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to operate a variety of overhead cranes
  • Able to operate a propane-powered forklift
  • Standing - up to 8 hrs./day, and walking - up to 6 hrs./day
  • Lifting - up to 50 lbs. with good body mechanics
